Our companies have become pioneers on the Czech market with regards to modern special beers. Amongst the most famous special beers are Starobno red beer called Red Drak and 14° Baron Trenck. In addition, Krušovice has in its portfolio of top fermented beers, Edelweiss and Schöfferhofer, its beer brandy called Bier Brand and its non-alcoholic beer, Clausthaler.

Red Drak is the first special beer by Starobrno. It is a 15-degree beer with a unique red colour given to it by special herbs, which is why we rank this beer among red beers.
This is another popular special beer in Starobrno’s portfolio. It takes its name from an important historical figure in Brno, Baron Trenck. It is special because it consists of a higher level of wort extract - 14 %. Otherwise, it is a traditional light lager of the Czech type. It has a full flavour with velvet bitterness, full porous foam and is primarily targeted at beer experts. Baron Trenck is an exceptional beer for exceptional occasions.
The latest special offered by the Starobrno brewery is a relative newcomer to the Czech market and is the first beer brandy in the Czech Republic. Beer brandy was a big dream of ours. We wanted to combine the top art of brewing art with the art of distillers. As a result we chose the best distilling company as our partner – the company R. Jelínek from Vizovice.
Our beer brandy called Bier Brand BT is distilled from the highest quality finished beer Baron Trenck. The final product is a first class 50% spirit whose quality compares well with top quality single malt whiskey.
The legendary wheat beer Edelweiss is a top fermented wheat beer. Wheat beer is more “fruity” and more “acidic” and is more refreshing thanks to the higher content of carbon dioxide. Top fermented wheat beers are not filtrated and they are characterized by the typical yeast haze which stays at the bottom of a glass, as well as at the bottom of a bottle.
Edelweiss is a wheat beer brewed from the highest quality raw materials and water from the Alps. A special yeast culture gives the beer its typical estery, slightly fruity aromatic flavour (aroma).
German beer Schöfferhofer has 11.6 degrees and an alcohol content of 5 %. This special beer is a great way to familiarize oneself with the unusual world of wheat beers. Its taste is compact and pleasantly “rounded”. The fruity aroma given by the wheat component is noticeable, whilst both the sweetness and the acidity are soft and balanced by a pleasantly bitter accent. The wheat barm beer from the Frankfurt Schöfferhofer brewery is a unique beer for experts.
The premium non-alcoholic beer Clausthaler is also part of our portfolio. Clausthaler is a non-alcoholic beer with a strong herbal flavour and aroma. It has a full taste with only a slight wort odour. Your mouth will enjoy this beer and thirsty consumers will definitely appreciate it.
