Krušovice brand belongs amongst the oldest traditional Czech beer brands, the production of that survived to this very day. Its roots stretch back to the period before 1581. From the same year we have the first preserved written document mentioning the existing brewery.
It is also the only Czech beer brand that was owned by the Czech royal crown. In 1583 it was acquired by the Czech king and Roman emperor Rudolf II. and it remained in the property of the Czech royal crown for 100 years.

Its location in the world-famous hop growing region of Žatec near the Křivoklát forests is the best address for brewing a top quality Czech beer. The brewers from Krušovice have been brewing the beer here for almost 430 years. They use the best raw materials they have within their reach – aromatic hops from the Žatec area, the superb water from Křivoklát area and the superfine barley.
Beers from Krušovice are characteristic by their pleasantly gentle aromatic bitterness and intense savour. The best selling beer from Krušovice is Musketeer lager produced using 4 various malts. Dark beer Krušovice Černé is significant by its richness and harmonic combination of lighly sweetish caramel taste with soft hop bitterness. The assortment of Krušovice beers covers also the Jubilee lager and Krušovice Světlé (light beer). All beers from Krušovice are marked with a logo of the protected geographical indication České pivo. The quality of beers from Krušovice was appreciated many times in degustation competitions, e.g. by Zlatá pivní pečeť 2009 award for the Jubilee lager or Stříbrná pivní pečeť 2009 and Zlatý pohár PIVEX 2009, 3. prize for the Musketeer lager.
